where can we download the old HP scan software? Your new “smart” version is unable to detect the HP 1536dnf MFP, and refused to use the scanner already detected by Windows under imaging.

Here are the detailed steps to download and install the older HP scan software for your HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf MFP:

1. Visit the HP Support Website

2. Search for Your Printer Model

  • In the search bar, type HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf MFP and select your printer from the list of results.

3. Select Your Operating System

  • On the printer's support page, locate the Operating System dropdown menu.
  • Select the correct operating system version for your computer (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS).

4. Download the Full Feature Software

  • Look for the Full Feature Software and Driver package in the list of available downloads.
  • Click Download to save the installer to your computer.

5. Uninstall Existing HP Software

  • Before installing the older software, uninstall any existing HP software:
    • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program, select the HP software, and click Uninstall.
    • On macOS: Drag the HP software to the Trash and empty it.

6. Install the Downloaded Software

  • Locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click it to start the installation.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

7. Restart Your Computer

  • After installation, restart your computer to ensure the software is properly configured.

8. Test the Scanner

  • Open the installed HP scan software and test the scanner functionality to ensure it works as expected.
