Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Why, just why? Scanning on Windows 10 and 11 doesn't work without HP Smart which forces me to log in and give it my phone number (?!) and address (?!).

 

I could find similar threads and they suggest installing an application that seems to not exist any longer...

 

Depressing the limits, I can't say how much do I regret buying an HP device. To be honest, I miss times when I didn't have any printer/scanner at home - at least I didn't get so frustrated so often.
