Sorry to be a pain, but as soon as I press the scan button on the Office Jet the Windows Fax and Scan opens and that's where the scan seems to end up.

 

I can't see a way to "right click" on the scan in the way that you suggest.  Right clicking on the image that I can see through the Windows Fax and Scan programme doesn't give an option to tell my computer to open with Adobe Acrobat.

 

Any more thoughts, pleae?

I'll just need to remember that I have to use the Smart App rather than the scan button on the printer.
