Product: HP LaserJet M209dw Printer

Every thing I have read says that my HP Laser Jet M209dw printer, which I purchased used and rehabbed, will scan.  I then read the HP Smart app and is says that is does not detect scanning on my printer.  Which side is correct? I did not buy it especially to scan but, if I can do so, that would be great.

Thank you for any help/assistance provided.

An HP LaserJet M209dw Printer is a printer only, it does not offer any copy or scan capabilities:
