HP SMart Scanning app
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When using HP Smart to scan and then save a pdf document, the filename field will not allow blanks. Meaning to use a name you want you have to rename it after saving.  Is this fixable somewhere?

Hi @dsttexas1,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to save the scanned file.

You will have to enter a name to save the document.

File name does not allow blanks or symbols.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for confirming how it works. This is an unfortunate implementation as all Windows and other platforms support blanks in filenames.  Why HP Smart decided not to support this is disappointing and should be referred to development to correct this anomaly.

Meanwhile I will live with it.

Thank you,

Don
