i have my HP mfp179 fnw connected to my windows 11 laptop wirelessly and it works fine but it does not print on both sides well ... it constantly JAMS after i turn the paper over to print the 2nd side.. i have an older canon mx922 which does beautiful duplex printing that i would like to use when i need docs printed on both sides. can i connect both to my computer through HP smart app or any other way?

It is likely Canon has their own application(s) for their supported products -
Try at the Canon Printer Support site for PIXMA MX922 .
