I have the same problem: I was using my Officejet Pro 7740 mainly from the printer for scan.
The way I was using it: putting my documents on the scanner, asking to scan to computer. Here, I had the choice between my MacBook Pro Ventura or my Mac Mini Catalina. The two were working fine for nearly two year I had this printer/scanner. Since last firmware update, none of my computer can be seen. I can still do scan from HP Smart but no longer from HP Easy Scan.
As a professionnal, I need this kind of function: give it back!

For me, it works with HP Smart but it's not the solution I need. My printer is not close to the computer, that's why I need the scan to computer to work. I've seen that we are many to have the problem, may be they will react after more than one month of problem?

Just to update, I had a long exchange via WhatsApp with HP support: at the end of the test (resetting the printer, installing the latest HP Easy Scan 2.00...), the response from HP support is that it's an Apple problem! They change the firmware and all Apple devices (but maybe other devices too) are no longer seen by the printer, and the problem comes from Apple?
If anyone has the previous firmware and a way to install it, it would be great to give it to them, as HP no longer supports Mac OS X.
