Having problem attempting to copy documents 2 sided. Duplex setting cannot not be applied for copying from Microsoft Word. I have uninstalled printer and re-installed, updated drivers, firmware. Copying is fine for 1 side document. If I try for instance copying double-sided copy from web-page no problem, I can get 2 sided.
I cannot get the 2 sided control in dialog box to stay on printer, when I go to print document, immediately, goes back to single side copy, which works perfect, unfortunately, I need 2 sided to the amount of documents to be copied double sided.
I have used the HP assistant, no luck. Troubleshooting with windows, no issues found.
I am using Win 10 64 bit. No USB devices are being used.
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Is this happening from the scanner glass or the Feeder?
Let's try to reset the Printer here:
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Good afternoon, thank you for helping. I have already updated the firmware. The printer power cord is directly connected in wall outlet. I have tried to reset the printer by unplugging as suggested. The issue appears that the button in the dialog box on printer, where you can change from 1 sided to 2 sided copy won't stay on 2 sided copy, after you have changed from 1 to 2 side copy.
Automatic Duple Unit is installed. Most current printer driver is installed. The printer prints great w/no issues, copying works great, except when trying to copy documents 2 sided from feeder tray. Feeder tray(ADF) has no issues copying 1 sided documents.
I'm not sure what to try next. Thank you for your help.
