HP Officejet 4500 all-in-one wireless
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When i attempt to open the HP Soluions Center to initiate a scan, My HP 4500 Officejet "HP Solution Center" function gives me a notice the, "Solution Center ahs detected that you do not have the correct versio of Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer installed."   The site the pop-up provides as a solution does not address my issues.   the site i am referred to is http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/  .     I follow the steps with no success.   I tried reinstalling the software and drivers for the HP 4500 for windows 10 and continue to receive the same error message.   Has anyone run into this issue over the past 2-3 weeks (say since February 15) ?  I was able to scan a couple of weeks ago.  I tried to scan a document today and received the error message for the first time.   Help!

@Bill1623,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!

There could be some issues with the adobe flash player installed on your PC

Let's try these steps:

Step 1: Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor https://lithium-response-prod.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/hpcsc.response.lithium.com/RESPONSEIMAGE/6fd75aeb-3e37-4828-af9d-5c1aa4654549.default.jpg

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
  • Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
    • If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
  • Select 'Fix Scanning'
  • The tool will run some tests and correct most of the issues automatically.
  • Try scanning and check if you can scan. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Install the flash player

  • Remove the previous version (if any) of the flash player. Go To Control Panel > Program > Programs and Features > Select 'Adobe Flash Player' > click on 'Uninstall'
  • Restart your PC
  • Go to his link. Download and install the updated flash player for your Windows.
  • Try to scan

Let me know if this helps.
