Hello, I have a one-year-old ENVY 4520 all-in-1 that we connect to wirelessly. We use it primarliy for stand-alone copying and scanning. Until about a month ago, a copy (not print) took about 30 seconds to complete. Now it takes upwards of 6-7 minutes to complete a one page black and white copy. Nothing has changed on the printer. Checked for firmware update, it is up to date. Attempted the 'unplug while on' trick multiple times, no change. Printing to it, still works fine, just a minute or 2 for 3-4 page document. Any good help is welcome!

Was the media loaded Photo Paper? If yes, that would explain the slowness.
If media loaded is plain paper, then you need to change the midia type:
Eject and push back the paper tray, (pretend loading new media), the printer will ask you if media type changed, answer yes, and select "Plain Paper".

A few things could cause copy to slow down: copy mode, media type, ink level, ...
In Copy menu, goto copy settings (touch the little gear icon), and check copy mode, if it's "Presentation" or "Best" mode, change it to "Normal" or "Draft". Also check "Paper type" (or Media type), select plain paper. If these are not changed, then one more thing to check:
touch the "ink drop" icon to check ink level, make sure Black cartridge is not out. Install new cartridge if black is out.

On the printer itself, when I go to Copy>Settings (gear icon), there's no option to choose Mode, but I changed 'Lighter/Darker' to Lightest setting, made no difference. The Media type is hardwired to 'Letter, Photo Paper' which can't be changed. Ink cartridges have been new (within expiration date) and tested as good on Print Test page.
Watching the bar during the copy, it works from right (top) to left (bottom). The light comes on and moves to the left about a half an inch (1/2"), light goes off, bar moves back to right about an inch (1"), then comes back to left, light comes back on at previous starting point, moves left about an inch (1"), covering about a half an inch of 'new', then starts process over again. It takes it about 6-7 minutes to do the entire page. When it used to do entire page non-stop, with the light on, taking about 30 seconds to complete a page.
