Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

Install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software for your printer.

After the full driver is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

 

After the full driver printer software is installed,

the printer can be selected and used with HP Scan and Capture.

 

Open HP Scan and Capture

On a new installation of the HP Scan and Capture application,

If, when you open the application, you see themessage "No device selected" , Open / Select Settings Menu

If you do not see the message to open the Settings menu,

Right-Click in the lower right corner of the menu to see the Settings gear  > Select Settings

In Settings > Open Select Device > Select your printer from the list

 

Example - HP Scan and Capture - Select Device
