1. Check Printer Firmware

  1. Go to the HP Support page.
  2. Search for your printer model (OfficeJet 4652).
  3. Download and install the latest firmware update for your printer.

2. Reset Printer Settings

• Restore the printer's default settings:
  1. On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
  2. This will reset the printer to its factory settings but won’t delete any saved fax numbers or phone book entries.

3. Reinstall the Printer Driver

• Uninstall and reinstall the printer software to ensure you have the latest drivers:
  1. Open Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program.
  2. Find the HP software, uninstall it, and reboot your computer.
  3. Download the full feature driver from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  4. Install the software and configure the fax feature.

4. Check Fax Settings

• Ensure the fax feature is fully enabled:
  1. Access the printer's Fax Setup menu.
  2. Verify settings under Basic Fax Settings or Advanced Fax Settings.
  3. Check if the option to send another fax is enabled.

5. Test Fax Functionality

• Send a test fax to ensure the feature is restored:
  1. Use HP’s free fax testing service:
     • Send a test fax to 1-888-HPFaxme (1-888-473-2963).
     • If successful, you’ll receive a confirmation fax back.

6. Use HP Smart or Printer’s Embedded Web Server Using the Printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
