To scan a colored paper in black and white using your HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer, you need to change the scan settings in the HP scanning software. Here are the steps to achieve this:
Using the HP Smart App
Open HP Smart:
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device if you haven't already.
- Open the app and ensure your printer is connected.
Select Scan:
- In the HP Smart app, click on the Scan tile.
Adjust Scan Settings:
- Before you start the scan, click on Settings or the gear icon.
- Look for an option labeled Color Mode or similar.
- Change the setting from Color to Black & White or Grayscale.
Scan the Document:

Using HP Easy Scan (macOS)
Open HP Easy Scan:
- Open the HP Easy Scan app on your Mac.
Select Scanner:
- Choose your HP DeskJet 3755 from the list of available scanners.
Adjust Scan Settings:
- Click on the Details button to reveal more options.
- Find the Color Mode setting and change it to Black & White or Grayscale.
Scan the Document:
- Place the colored paper on the scanner glass or in the document feeder.
- Click on Scan to start scanning.
Save the Scan:
- Once the scan is complete, you can save the document in your preferred format.
