hp envy photo 7820 cannot scan to Macbook Air (2019)

I have installed the printer with HP Easy Start software. I can print, scan with USB connection and scan to email, but just cannot scan to my Macbook Air wirelessly. When I pressed scan to computer on the HP printer, it asked me to go the hp website to download drivers, which I already did. When I tried to open scanner on my macbook, the error message said 'Failed to open a connection to the device (-21400)'.
I have uninstalled and installed the drivers many times, rebooted both the printer and the macbook many times, and removed and added the printer on my macbook many times, but can't solve the problem. Please help.

@tmcm, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Enable the scan to computer connection: From the Printers & Scanners window, click Options & Supplies > Utility > Scan to Computer to enable the connection.

Try Scanning.

I don’t see the page you showed when I click ‘ option an utility’ 

I see this when I click ‘options and utilities’:

the two white buttons in the windows are: 

       1.   open the printer webpage 

       2.   find the printer

I don’t see what you showed. Please help.

Configure the printer on HP Utility and enable scan to computer as mentioned in my previous post.

 I tried on the computer but got the same message. I just used the phone for the ease of capturing the message for your reference. I cannot open that link on my computer.
