Hello guys,
I just bought a HP Pro m225dw and I've decided on this printer because I found in the description it supports automatic two sided print/copy/scan.
Yesterday I got it, so excited at the beginning, but afterwards I was dissapointed, because I wasn't able to scan/copy automatically on both sides.
I followed the exact steps from the manual:
Copy on both sides automatically 1. Load the original documents into the document feeder with the first page facing up, and with the top of the page leading. 2. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document. 3. Open the Copy Settings menu: ● LCD control panel: On the product control panel, press the Copy Settings button. ● Touchscreen control panel: From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Copy button, and then touch the Settings button.4. Select Two-Sided. 5. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the options, and then select the appropriate option. 6. Start the copy job: ● LCD control panel: Press the Start Copy button. ● Touchscreen control panel: Touch Start Copy
But, on my touchscreen I only have two options - 1-sided to 1-sided or 1-sided to 2-sided. I do not have a Two-sided option as it states.
Please help. Am I doing something wrong ? Please help!!!

Hello prichindelu,
Sorry for any inconvinience, these highlights are wrong and the printer does not offer such functionality.
I have sent a request to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you so Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Hi,
The printer allow performing a Two-Sided copy, that means that you may place several pages on the ADF and the copy output will be made on both sides of the paper (1 Sided Original : 2-Sided Copy), the user guide does not indicate any option to copy a two-sided original.
You may find the product specifications below:
Duplex printing: Automatic (standard) Duplex ADF scanning: No http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=CF485A&opt=B13&sel=DEF#merch-tech-specs

Hello,
So in the link from the official HP German site:
you have the line:
- Sparen Sie Zeit und senken Sie Papierkosten durch das zuverlässige automatische beidseitige Drucken und Kopieren.
which translates to:
- Save time and reduce paper costs with the reliable automatic two-sided printing and copying.
And also on the official UK HP site in the highlights :
http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=CF485A&opt=B13&sel=DEF#merch-marketing
- Save time and help reduce paper costs, using reliable automatic two-sided printing and copying.
This is so confusing since a lot of people are reading only the highlights and the overview and then they see this line and chose to buy this printer. They don't look in the product specifications.

I also purchased this printer specifically because I wanted to copy two sided to two sided. I have always purchased HP printers due to the quality, however at the price of this printer, I am very disappointed.
