issue with uploading file to fax

Hi, I have a HP Envy 6400e All in one printer and when uploading a file, 6 pages, system keeps telling me file size exceeds 20MB and to make smaller. Not sure how to make smaller, and system says can send up to 50 pages, not sure if they mean 50 blank pages or what. but did cut file down from 10 pages to 6, need to send this fax but this printer is giving me lots of trouble

Make Your File Smaller

Scan in Lower Quality:

Use the HP Smart app to scan.

Choose Black & White and Low Resolution (150 DPI) to keep the file small.

Split the File:

If it's still too big, fax it in two parts (3 pages each).

How to Send the Fax:

Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.

Tap Mobile Fax.

Upload your small/compressed file.

Enter the fax number and send.
