The docproc.msi file has disappeared from C:\Users\Home\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS4863\setup\docproc\.
[My user name is "Home," I've exposed hidden files and folders, and yet the last part of the file path "\7zS4863\setup\docproc\" cannot be found.]
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the full setup package more than once, to include downloading the most recent installation executable from HP. I've also scanned my laptop for DocProc.
When I try start a scan anything, I get the following error message:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to the folder containing the installation package "DocProc.msi" in the box below. [The Box is labeled :Use Source:" and contains the following entry:" "C:\Users\Home\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS4863\setup\docproc\"] Clicking OK results in another error message stating that the path cannot be found, and suggests finding the installation package "DocProc.msi" in a folder from which I can install the product DocProc. If I click OK, I get another error that reads: Error 1706. No valid source could be found for produce DocProc. The Windows Installer cannot continue. And, so it continues...

I stumbled over a work around. For the time being my Scanjet G4050 will work with Windows Scan from the Windows Store, but I've lost the ability to scan old photo slides.
My guess is that an update to Win11 may be part of the problem
