my MFP M125nw will not allow me to scan to a file

from day 1 I have not been able to scan to a file. The "help" I have found generally is for a mac and not windows 10.  When I scan my software options do not agree with any help suggestions. I have an EPSON that easily scans to a file so I think that I know what to do.  - Is there a software upgrade that includes the scan to a file option ?

I understand that you are unable to scan.

Please perform the below steps and check.

The Scan basics using the Full Feature Software Printer Assistant (shortcut icon on the Desktop named for the printer) are explained in the "how to" document:

How to Scan (Windows)

Double check your destination folder - this may be set at the default or it can be changed.

Read over the help / documentation.
