in the past there was scan doctor available but no longer. I am using usb link for computer to printer but windows cannot find scan info

It sounds frustrating when your printer doesn't work as expected. Let's try to resolve this issue together.

Here are some steps you can follow to enable the "Scan to Computer" feature for your HP Officejet 4630 on Windows 11:

Download and Install Full Feature Software:

Enable Scan to Computer:

  • Open the HP Printer Assistant from your desktop.
  • Go to the Scan menu and select Manage Scan to Computer.
  • Ensure that Enable Scan to Computer is checked. You can also check the option to Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows if you want this feature to be always on.

Use HP Smart App:

  • If the HP Scan and Capture app is no longer available, you can use the HP Smart app. Download it from the Microsoft Store and set up your printer using this app.

Check USB Connection:

  • Ensure that the USB cable is securely connected to both your printer and computer.
  • Try using a different USB port on your computer to rule out any port issues.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Although you mentioned it’s no longer available, you can still download the latest version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor and run it to diagnose and fix any issues.
