We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Paper feed on the top for scanning or printing is always looking for an additional paper to feed even when there are no additional papers to scan or copy. So I never get the scan to complete--it shows as a misfeed.

This does seem to be a hardware malfunction of the printer itself for sure. At this time I would recommend to contact HP phone support for your hardware options. (After you fill out the information, you will be given a phone number.) If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Welcome to the HP Forums! 

 

I noticed your post on how your paper feed on the top of your HP Photosmart 7510 printer keeps looking for additional paper to feed. I am happy to help! 
 

Please try a hard reset, by following the steps in this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet, and not a surge protector.

 

I would also make sure the firmware is up-to-date. Getting Printer Updates

Thank you for the help, but, after following your instructions, it did not resolve the issue of the rotors on the top still searching for additional pages when there are none. I have also opened up the feeder on the top as much as I could and cleaned the rotors and everything I could with the air can and lens cleaner wipe. Maybe my printer is just worn out??
