OfficeJet Pro 9010. When I try to scan to computer using the front panel from the printer, the printer does not use the adf. Instead it scans from the glas. By using the HP Smart on my computer, it is possible to select "use adf" and this works fine.
So is it normal that the printer doesn´t use the adf when scanning to computer via front panel?

Hey,
When scanning using WSD, this is expected @Trace84
You may change the source to feeder, this would not be done automatically.
Right click the Start menu and select Run, Type Control Printers and press OK.
Right-click your printer and select Scan Profile.
Select and edit any profile by clicking the Edit button, then change the Source to Feeder.
Another option would be installing the HP Full Feature Software by following HP Easy Start below:
Follow the steps to complete the installation, once completed you will see another option on the printer (with the computer name only), which would allow scanning from the printer from any source which will be detected automatically.

Thanks for your help. I have read another similar topic and there it also was mentioned to install HP Easy Start to get the full feature setup.
I just thought HP Smart is the only thing needed. Didn´t know this just installs WSD, nothing more.
Too bad HP does not write a simple full setup description. Wasn´t easy to figure out the problem and finding the right software in the support list (so many things to download).
I got so many papers in the package but not one little sentence about HP Easy Start....only "HP Smart is all you need".
It now works fine. The printer now scans from ADF by using the front panel and send to computer.
Thanks again!
