I have a HP Scanjet 7000n, it has the latest firmware which gives it the ability to add multiple locations via FTP or Windows to have the document scanned to other locations on the network. I setup a network contact in the phone book, however when I go to send email, I cannot add the network contact and vice versa if I selected scan a document I cannot select the other contacts with email. It seems like the ability to send an email and have the same scanned document copied to the network should be a request it should do.
Now if I give the network contact an email address and I do the send email, the contact shows up but the contact will get an email sent to it instead of using the network info to save to the folder. Am I missing something or is this the design? Seems ridiculous that an enterprise scanner, even though it is old would force people to scan the same document twice just to get it to send an email and save to a network folder.

You would need a workflow application in order to scan to multiple "types" of destinations. You may be able to use HP workpath apps https://www.hp.com/us-en/solutions/business-solutions/workpath.html or you you might have to look at a third party app such as Paper cut.

Unfortunately, work path is not compatible with the 7000n, and paper cut doesn't seem to be able to do what I want.
Is it possible to link to quicksets together? Such as one to email and one to scan? but only having to scan once? I have been perplexed on how to make this work.
