Google changed the security regulation and since then scanning to email with MFP M283fdw and Google (SMTP) account does NOT work anymore
Any workaround?

- Follow the instructions to enter the App Password. The App Password is the 16-character code in the yellow bar on your device.

Just an FYI -
I found out the hard way that the Forum software now has the names of various email clients added to the obscenity filter! This is why there are several " **bleep** " changes in the above posts. Supposedly to defeat scammers/spammers.

Yes, It's been this way for a while.
Rats and desperate scammers post phone numbers, promise help at fake email sites, and generally harass people in at attempt to steal their money and information.
What else?
New members might post their private email in a message. Posting an email address - even one where the name of the domain is replaced with "Bleep" is a bad idea -- because, you know... there are "Rats" waiting to pounce.
G-Mail and a few others have been marked as "disallowed" -- the rest of the security and cleanup work is done behind the scenes.
