I can receive email by fax for long time by using below config
smtp: smtp-mail.outlook.com
port : 587
checked SSL / TLS
however, recently email can't be received recently, say around 1 month. I've tried to use smtp.live.com but failed as well.
Please advise for possible solution for this situation . Thanks.

Hi @jasontsang1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To set up fax to email on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 using Hotmail/Outlook SMTP, you should use the following settings.
SMTP Configuration for Hotmail/Outlook
- SMTP Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
- Port: 587
- Encryption Method: SSL/TLS (Make sure this option is checked)
- Authentication: Use your Hotmail/Outlook email address and password
Additional Considerations:
- Email Account Settings: Ensure that your Hotmail account settings allow SMTP connections. Sometimes, security settings may prevent the printer from sending emails.
- Two-Factor Authentication: If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Hotmail account, you may need to create an app password specifically for your printer.
- Network Connectivity: Verify that your printer is connected to the network and can access the internet. You can check this by printing a network configuration page.
- Firewall or Antivirus: Check if there are any firewall or antivirus settings that might be blocking the printer's access to the SMTP server.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Test Connection: Try sending a test fax to email to see if you still encounter issues.
- Check Email Filters: Ensure that the emails are not being filtered or sent to the spam/junk folder.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check for any firmware updates for your printer that might resolve connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
