This post is duplicated elsewhere in HP Support entitled "Glitch between Microsoft Edge and HP Support" under "OS/Recovery" which explains the situation and I have deleted this post as i didn't know how to clear it.
I have accepted the expert opinion that Edge is causing the problem which is minimal as i can reach the site by other means.
Thank you for your interest and perhaps you can clear this post but leave the other one..
