If you're using the POLY R30 (I imagine this happens with everyone) as audio-only (without video) for VoIP calls or with any application (Windows Sound Recorder, for example), the microphone will appear muted when you use it. If you use the camera for the first time and then stop using it—for example, by opening the Polylens app, using Teams, or using Windows Camera—after the first use, it will be possible to use just the microphone.
