The card reader doesnt seem to work with my memory stick duo. SD seems to work fine. The other formats I don't know as I don't have any of those cards, xD, MMC. Model is X16-1358CA. Any drivers for the card reader? And on Device Manager, there's like 3 base system devices and 3 unknown devices that don't have drivers.

Hi,

Go to Control Panel -> Devices Manager

Click with right button of Your mouse on each yellow sign and choose properties. Then go to bottom details and paste here Hardware Ids. This way we will know what it is.

Below You've got example how to do it:

All works fine, thanks!

Only thing left is the ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection. It's installed successfully, but it says that the hard drive isn't support even though it worked with Vista before.

HP Recommended

So uninstall this ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection and try latest version of

If you are going to suggest someone load a piece of software that is not yet certified for Windows 7 (which happens to tie into the essential functionality of the hard drive), perhaps you might consider also reminding them of the risks they are taking....
