I am attempting to upgrade my Rove B2 base from firmware 8.0.9.0003 to 8.0.10.0002 and upon downloading the file, the Rove light goes solid red and in the web GUI shows "Request failed: Base FWU ended with error code 2291 (FWUAR_MD5_CHECKSUM_FAILED): FWU file contained wrong MD5 hash value"

I downloaded the firmware directly from the Poly website. I've also deleted the file, downloaded it again with no avail. Has anyone successfully been able to use this firmware version?

Hi Steffen,

I downloaded the firmware file from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/rove-base-station-series/2101728172

and I uploaded it to my Metaswitch SIP Provisioning server. I told the phone to upgrade to v8.0.10.0002 and that is how I got to the MD5 error upon the B2 base trying to apply the firmware.

I just tried your method, telling the phone to download directly from Poly and the phone upgraded successfully. I downgraded to v8.0.5.002 and then took the files from download.polycom.com and put them on my Metaswitch SIP provisioning server and now I am able to upgrade to v8.0.10.

It seems like the firmware files from  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/rove-base-station-series/2101728172  may be bad.
