Hello all,

we released Poly Voice Software–Lite (PVOS-L) for Poly Rove DECT IP phone. This release covers Poly Rove handsets, base stations, and repeater hardware on firmware version 8.0.10.0002

The above is for Poly Rove 20, Poly Rove 30, Poly Rove 40, Poly Rove B1, Poly Rove B2, Poly Rove B4, and Poly Rove R8

This release covers the following hardware and software versions:

  • Handset firmware: 8.0.10.b0002
  • Base station firmware: 8.0.10.b0002
  • Repeater firmware: 8.0.10.b0002

Description:

The Poly Rove wireless DECT (tm) IP phone solution provides a highly scalable solution with secure encryption. The rugged handsets include Microban (tm) antimicrobial technology and features to keep you productive.

What is new:

You can define a secondary proxy server, like a local survivability gateway (LSG) host, as a secondary server so that in case of network issues, Poly Rove phones can register using the appropriate server and function as expected.

Poly Rove phones can now handle incoming calls where the multipart/mixed content type is used in the SIP INVITE. Poly Rove parses the SDP body in the SIP INVITE for the audio call only.

This release includes the X_ReSubscribeTime parameter, which controls the expiry for SIP SUBSCRIBE requests and enables you to configure a separate value for the Expires header in SIP SUBSCRIBE requests from the SIP REGISTER requests.

Fix and enhancements:

  • Handsets connected to secondary base stations in a Poly Rove B4 multi-cell system fail to connect to the XML web application.
  • Poly Rove phones don't transmit inband DTMF to both call legs when a handset starts and merges a conference call with two participants.
  • Poly Rove phones show as offline or unmanaged after it's claimed on PDMS-SP and completes the PDMS-SP provisioning and onboarding process.
  • The Poly Rove base station doesn't send a new SUBSCRIBE SIP request with the appropriate Expires value when it receives a 423 Interval Too Small response.
  • Enabling the X_UsePtimeInSDP parameter doesn’t result in Poly Rove phones sending maxptime and ptime attributes in the SDP body for SIP calls.
  • Poly Rove base stations aren't honoring the subscription expires value in the 200 OK response from the server.
  • Poly Rove phones fail to obtain VLAN information and connect to some networking switches via CDP under certain conditions.
  • Poly Rove base stations don't send a DNS query to the secondary DNS server, obtained via DHCP, when the primary DNS server is unavailable.
  • Poly Rove base stations advertise half duplex in CDP.
  • When a Poly Rove base station requests for a central directory file and the server returns an error response, the base station continues to request for the directory file at 10 second intervals. A retry backoff mechanism is implemented to increase the time between retry attempts.
  • When multiple handsets are assigned to the same SIP registration configured with server-synchronized DND and DND is toggled on or off from the server via a handset, the DND status update isn't reflected on the other handsets.
  • An incoming call is ignored when the handset is in a push-to-talk (PTT) session.
