I tried to reach "Active Chat" for support via the page, HP Instant Support Professional Edition, which I called up from my Deskjet 9800 Help page. I answer the intial questions, i.e. North America, USA, Printers. The next page tries to run a System Health Scan, but brings up a request that I select a printer model from the drop-down list. The list, however, has no printer models on it and won't let me enter text!!! It won't let me proceed without entering a model, and it has no models to choose from. My printer is powered and operational. How in the world do I get to Active Chat? In the meantime, I'll enter my other concerns on these forums.
