I have been using this printer with mixed success. Initally it would scan and send fax very quickly.  I have a static IP address set for it on my network, and it is not on a power strip or back up power.  I have the latest drivers etc. HP has released. However since I signed up and started using the HP ink service, whereby I get so many pages a month and ink when I get low, the printer has gotten into its grand-pa movements. I try to scan... wait and wait.. a minute goes by then two.. I get a pop up says did I change the ip address.. and when I am closing that pop-up, off it goes.. 

 

Why would the HP ink subscription cause problems, unless it is checking with HP to see if it should do what was requested.  If that is the case, good by HP ink service.
