I'm trying to install HPLIP on a Dell Latitude D510 laptop with Linux MInt 18 with XFCE freshly installed. Near the end of the HPLIP install I receive the following error message:
HP’s printer driver HPLIP won’t fully install:
RE-CHECKING DEPENDENCIES
————————
error: A required dependency ‘libtool (libtool – Library building support services)’ is still missing.
error: Installation cannot continue without this dependency.
error: Please manually install this dependency and re-run this installer.
How do I "manually install" this dependency and continue the HPLIP install? The printer will print with the usb cable attached but I cannot print or scan wirelessly. The hp-setup 192.168.1.117 command won't work either....
