Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I recieve blurry scans on my laptop when scanning a document. Oringinal doucment in perfect condition i.e., NOT blurry, so that is a non-issue. 

 

Second problem is that when I create a document using Word I can directly print a perfect text document. If I then immediately scan new/perfect text looking document, it will appear blurry on Adobe Acrobat DC Pro and in return, print blurry. 

 

I have searched and searched for answers and have tried everything I have found to no avail. I am at your mercy!! Please any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, even if ive already tried it before. I am determined. Don't give up on me, I wont give up on you! 

 

Also, im not very tech savvy but with clear explainations I can figure my way through just about anything.
