Until recently, I was able to print from my PC to the printer without any trouble. Since yesterday, however, when I click to print something, the print dialogue says "Loading preview," but never actually does load a preview of the document. The little ellipsis (...) at the end of the words "Loading preview" hop and skip, but nothing actually happens. Cntl+Shift+P does the same thing. I'm not aware that I have changed anything having to do with the printer, so I'm finding this inexplicable.
I tried Support Assist, but that also didn't resolve the problem. I'm having to email stuff to the printer to get anything to print. I use wifi to connect to the printer.
When I go to Control Panel to look at printers, I see the printer twice - one's labeled HP ENVY 5660 series, and the other is labeled HP ENVY 5660 series (Network). Frankly, I don't know the difference, nor do I know why the printer would show twice. However, if I select the former, and try to print, the error message changes to "The selected printer is not available or not installed correctly. Check your printer or try selecting another printer." There's an option to "print using system dialogue," but if I click that, it just churns and churns, but does nothing. If I select the latter, I get the "Loading preview" which never does load the preview.
Any ideas you may have for me that would help me go back to this thing operating properly would be gratefully received!
