Product: HP Officejet Pro 8715
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
My printer HP Officejet Pro 8715 will not send or receive a fax. Says ‘no answer’ when sending and ‘unsuccesful’ when receiving. Very frustrating.
I currently have a HP Officejet 7200 which has seen better days. This sends and receives a fax fine. Using the same socket and cable I’ve connected it to my new printer and it doesn’t work!!!
Although I’m using a PBX system this line goes straight to an outside line with no need for a prefix. Like I mentioned before my old fax machine works fine. I can’t use the cable that came with the new printer as my wall socket is the bt master socket type not the small square one. So I’m not using this lead but as mentioned above my existing cable works fine on my previous one.
Can anyone help, not sure what I can try next?
Cheers, D
