HP ENVY 5020

I have an HP ENVY 5020 which I have had less than 6 months.  I have enrolled with the Instant Ink and replaced m first black ink cartidge a couple of weeks ago and the printer has suddenly stopped working with the message @"cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant ink".  I have logged on to instant ink and apparently it can't read the cartridge.  I have tried cleaning the ink cartridge, powering the printer on and off but this has still not resolved the error.
