Is it possible to revert/downgrade firmware? My HP 8600 was working FINE until recently and upon replacing the cartridges, I keep getting a "damaged ink cartridge" error for the magenta cartridge. I originally was trying to use a 3rd party cartridge but went out today and bought genuine HP cartridges, replaced them all and no luck. I tried pulling the plug, resetting factory settings, removing and reseating the printhead cartridge. Nothing is working. I am frustrated that I've spent so much money on ink and it's still not working. i HOPE someone out there has found a solution! When I inspect inside the print head cartridge, I see some remnants of ink but nothing looks any worse on the magenta than the other colors.
