Product: Deskjet 2640 Ink Advantage
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Basically my scanner suddenly stopped scanning colors and will only scanned any photo as B&W

The software I am using on my Mac OS 10.6.8 is "HP Scan 4.3.10 (152)"

I searched all tips and found no mention of such an issue.  

Please advise me how to fix it.  I am in the middle of creating an album and need to scan lots of photos.
