My OfficeJet 7612 starts every print job with a paper jam error. But when I remove the duplexer on the back, I can see paper in the rollers which does not appear to be jammed. The paper looks straight. I can pull the paper out easy and I can reuse the paper because it is not even damaged. After replacing the duplexer, I hit OK on the control panel and the entire job will print perfectly, even if it has many pages every time. The prints look great. I can print color photos or text documents and they all look great. So the printer only seems to have trouble feeding the first page of a job, but no problem feeding the pages after that, and the print quality looks good to me. It does not matter if I print from Windows, Linux, or use the printer status report feature on the printer's control panel. My ink cartridges are all showing they have ink, although they are non-HP cartridges. I tried cleaning the pick up rollers. I tried the reset to defaults option on the control panel. The printer can connect to the web OK and it says my firmware is up to date. The printer is over 2 1/2 years old and out of warranty.
