Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My notebook's fan has begun to get very loud at times. I have not noticed any particular trigger. There are many background processes (up to 80 odd) and I wonder if this could be to blame. I always use my laptop on a flat surface and do not crowd the area around it. The noise may occur at any time whether I am playing the Sims 4 or watching Netflix, as soon as the startup process begins, checking emails etc. The noise will also cease randomly. I have not noticed any overheating and CoolSense is on.
