HP just sent me an exchange unit because of a malfunction in my first HP OFFICEJET PRO 6978. I've used up the initial set-up ink supply (and it worked perfectly). Yet because I'd previously been an owner of an Epson printer (which died), I'd already sent back an order to InkFarm.com, which they exchanged out for new remanufactured ink cartridges. BUT... they're not being accepted. I AM SO FRUSTRATED. Error message (on colors only ... black works fine) = "cartridges in wrong slot. Misinstalled cartridge. remove and reinsert into correct slot" -- WHICH I'VE DONE 4x, NOTHING IS WRONG. Does HP 'block customers' from using anything but HP cartridges, or not? IF SO.. this SECOND printer will be returned to Staples for a different brand!
