HP Officejet 7612
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When attempting to change wireless settings on the printer itself I get the following message:

Wireless communication has been disabled. Contact your network administrator or the person who set up the printer.

Now, I AM the person who set up the printer.

I made NO changes to the system. The wireless should NOT be disabled.

I looked at other threads here with the same problem and I did the factory reset. The wireless reset was NOT available due to it being disabled.

I can edit the printer's setttings from the software on my computer (Windoes 10 64-bit) but I cannot change the settings on the printer itself. And through the Win10 HP Smart App. (The HP Smart app says "Not Supported" when I try to view the network information.)

I had to physically connect to the printer in order to even turn the wifi back on after I did the factory reset.

I have looked through all of the menu's looking for a print option. I can't find anything.

And I've already tried the other answers I've seen on this forum.

SO has anyone else fixed this problem? Do I have to bring my laptop and plug it into the printer every time? Cause that ain't gonna work for my husband who has a desktop on another floor of our house!

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous and something needs to be done about it.

Edit to add: I would NOT have disabled the wireless settings on the printer! That's the complete opposite of what I want available. If my husband needs to fix something, I want him to have access to the settings! I don't want it tied to my laptop which isn't even in the house half the time!
