I purchased a laser jet cyan cartridge. shortly after installing I started to get wavy blue lines on the edges of printouts. Since I print mostly black and white I wasn't too bothered. In addition, this is a light usage home printer. Finally I sought help thru this support community and was told that the cause of wavy lines was a defective cyan laser jet cartridge. I replaced the cyan cartridge with a new one and it did solve the problem! I was relieved thinking the problem might have been the printer itself. The defective cyan cartridge is still 60% full. I took it back to Office Max to get a refund (same place I buy all my HP supplies) and they refused saying it was purchase more than a year prior. I'm writing here to see if I can get compensated for this defective cartridge directly from HP? If so, what is the process? I have the cartridge, receipts and printed examples of the problem before and solved after a new cyan cartridge was installed. Thank you.
