I am seeing this as an issue within the printer software, considering so many printer models are affected by this "bug" that was magically resolved with some form of firmware update, though I don't think it's hardware related. This issue exists with my 9019 Premier printer as well, and it has the latest firmware self installed on it. (001.2042A (70.2MB) updated Nov 17, 2020, according to the /drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-9010-all-in-one-printer-series/23903057/model/23918431 page) . The randomization occurs when using HP Smart, or any Windows controlled environment. The issue is OMITTED when scanning to a USB device. Something within the software driver is causing the issue. OCR, OMR, or some other image recognition controller is causing pages to falsely flip documents prior to output. There is no option to disable image recognition within the scan preview window, nor is there an option to keep orientation of scanned set. This is a driver/software issue outside of the printer, and not necessarily a driver issue.
