scan to email not working- keep getting error message : 

 
 
SMTP email server error. The server might be down or busy. Try again later. 
i've tried all three of my email addresses -- a  g mail acount , an icloud and an msn email.  all the same message- i called tech support and spoke to no less than 5 people who all tried to fix it to no avail.  they said i will need a new printer.  very frustrating. 
can anyone help??
