MY new HP Deskjet was only printing in black and white no matter what! No mapper what app or anything. I was baffled. I came onto these forums and they suggested things like resetting, updating drivers... blah blah blah. They mainly suggested that I make sure the "black and white" or "grayscale" was not selected in the printer properties when I was printing. Thing is, there were no options at all! When I selected to print from my "HP Deskjet 2852e" there was not an option to choose color or black and white ANYWHERE! I was literally losing my mind! I then remembered that months ago, before my old printer went bad, I had ran out of color ink on it. So I went into those printer properties at that time and changed it to black and white, to make my prints come out better. So , remembering this, when I selected "print" then I went in and chose my OLD printer from the drop down menu, then once those properties came up, I saw where I could select color or black and white, so I selected COLOR! I then went back to the drop down menu and selected my new HP printer, the options of color or not went away of course, but it somehow saved it from my old printeres properties! Because it worked! My new printer now prints in color! I do not know how this fixed ite, but it did. I hope this is coherent, I was litereally losing my cool trying to figure this out. Now that I have figured it out, I had to come on here and share it with you all! to help save you from the stress I went through!
