HP Envy 6552e All-in-One Printer

I connected and set up my HP Envy 6552e through the app on my phone and made it a smart printer. I am now trying to use it to print something from my computer. It isnt working. When I go to make it my default printer it just sits at the loading screen and will never load. I go to the HP app that i had to install on my PC for some reason and it says its not connected to the internet even though it was prieviously. I have restarted both my PC and printer and it still says its not connected. However i can still print from my phone. And if i download something as a pdf and go to the HP Smart app on my PC I can print it that way. When the printer boots up it just says it is in paring mode and gives me a code and a website to go to. Whenever I go to that website it is just the home screen of my account with no way to put in the pairing code. On the HP Smart app on the PC it says to pair my printer but when I click on it it just tells me that my printer is in pairing mode and to follow the on screen instructions. Circles back to the website not bringing me anywhere to put in a pairing code. Why cant I use it as a printer when it is obviously connected to the wifi but it says it isnt.
