You mean the next picture -yes, it shows the PCIe extension power cable, which I explained you don't need and don't want:

The cable in the photo I was taling about looked to be an 8 pin cable that was attached at the top of the GPU. That looked to me like it might have had an extensions cable on it but It is very possible I was mistaken.

Yes, those are the GPU's PCIe power connections: some graphics cards need one 6-pin, others need a single 8-pin, and other cards, such as my RTX 3080 OC 12GB, requires two 8-pin PCIe power cables, etc. powered from the external, synced ATX power supply.
In other words, it depends on your particular graphics card's PCIe power requirements.

- NonSequitur777, I appreciate all your help so far!!!! Could you tell me why I can't get it to work? Im sure you cant figure it out. I have a built in GPU in my CPU-the Intel HD Graphics 630 card showing up on Device manager and maybe that's my problem. That is built into the I7 7700 cpu I have on this machine! When trying to install the new driver for my new GPU I am told nvidia cant continue because I need to have an Nvidia GPU installed. I do have the new gpu installed but I also have the other Intel HD Graphics 630. I get a message when trying to install the driver for geogorce rtx 3050. Any ideas to fix ??? Thanks

All right, let's fix this.
If you don't mind, let's start with taking a series of pictures of your rig, and especially the wiring -which goes where, etc. This will help me to visualize what we are working with.

NonSequitur777,
I did have it working for a minute. I shut down, added some connections to the NEW GPU to add a couple of monitors and then turned computer back on. When it came on the driver for the new gpu vanished. Right now I think because I have both GPus plugged in the Nvidia driver is trying to install the driver but it only sees the built in GPU inside of the I7 7700. I dont know why it stopped functioning. Maybe I have to turn off the GP U that is the built in one??? I am lost and am not sure how to add photos to show my connections. . I believe everything is installed correctly but I think there is a problem with installing the new driver. It is trying to install the driver over the built in GPU?

Here's how I generally do it:
Step 1.) Take pictures with your mobile
Step 2.) Email them to your email account or transfer them to a PC
Step 3.) Start Microsoft "Paint"
Step 4.) Open each emailed picture onto your screen
Step 5.) Take a 'screen shot' (keyboard key labelled as "PS" or "PRNT SCRN" or something like that)
Step 6.) Use the Paint program's "Paste" option
Step 7.) Use the Paint program's "Select" (red circle 1.) and "Rectangle" to mark the section you want to post (see the dotted line below), and then use the "Cut" (red circle 2.) function to transfer this 'cut' selection to your post by left-clicking your mouse in your post where you would like the screen-selection to go, and then do a right-click and use "Paste" -see example below:

Okay, this is what I would like you to do: reconnect your monitor to your PC in order to utilize the i7-7700 integrated graphics, leave everything hooked up.
Download and run the freeware program "Display Driver Uninstaller" from here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html.
Once completed, restart your desktop.
Then download just the RTX 3050 driver from here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/, as so:
Install this driver. Tell me what happens.
Kind Regards,
