Greetings Polycom community,
I have a Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 here that is used for conference calls. We are experiencing an issue that I finally decided to try and tackle, but I'm new to VOIP so I would need a few pointers to help troubleshooting this issue.
The issue is that on conference calls, we constantly hear clipping/popping noises on the line and we can also hear a continuous "background static noise". Now, from what I hear it is not everyone in the conference call who hear these noises, there's only a couple phones that do, so I'm looking at troubleshooting these first.
So I'm wondering if anyone has tips for me, to help me in troubleshooting our Polycom phone ? Here's more details on the model and its software:
Phone Model SoundStation IP 6000 Part Number 3111-15600-001 Rev. B SIP Software Version 3.3.3.0069 BootROM Software Version 4.3.1.0887
Our voip server is Asterisk, I can supply configurations for the phone but from what I see, it's pretty standard with the admin guide's most basic configurations.
Thanks in advance for any tip, any help will be appreciated.

Hello atar,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The easiest would be to make a call between the IP6000 and another phone and check if you hear any issues.
If no then I suggest you work with the Asterisk community.
If not have a look here:
