The phone's GUi seems to be buggy - When Enabled is selected, editing values is not possible, if Disabled is selected editing is possible, however none of the settings allows for a connect.

I don't see a resolution in the link you provided.

1. It does not explain the enable/disable thing

2. I can see even a skeleton xml config file for the CCX-400

so you suggest to do a config via net instead of using the GUI?

Hello @stonegolem ,

Welcome back to the HP Poly community.

The FAQ posts point out how to add the SIP credentials. We have not seen a backup of your phone yet so we do not know what other settings you may have done or what provider is being used.

Please use the FAQ for any follow-up questions or share details for us volunteers here who try an help.

If no other volunteers reply, your official point of contact is our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Thank you for your ultra fast reply. I used the snippet from your FAQ post "Simple SIP Setup Example:" and replaced the credentials along with the SIP server. I put it in a file [Phone's MAC].cfg

The phone now claims that it can not register the line (messages are not in English) . Details reveal that the phone claims that no SIP server has been given. Also AOR shows "1000@" where 1000 is the given extension.

Very odd.

The phone should register with my local fusionPBX. So the backup stuff might no be that helpful.

reg.1.server.1.address

contains the correct hostname and from the DNS test I can see that the phone can resolve the name.

Hello @stonegolem ,

you "speak" of a file but you have not attached it here or shared its content using the Code tags.

From our VoIP FAQ:

...

If possible provide a => Log <= and either attach them or use the => Code Tag <=

...

A backup "should" show the values the phone accepted and/or what Provider it is set to.

...

UC Software 4.0.0 or later via the Web Interface Utilities > Phone Backup & Restore > Phone Backup > Phone Backup

Ensure private information is obfuscated

Since UC Software 5.9.0 simply provide this via the Web Interface Diagnostics > Download Support Information Package

...

Again from the VoIP FAQ:

Oct 11, 2011 Question: How can I troubleshoot configuration Issues via Log Files or the phone GUI?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

or

Jan 19, 2012 Question: How to troubleshoot Poly VoIP-related Issues?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

I leave it to other volunteers to reply, or you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards
